Final rendering of my ZBrush training Avatar character.
I converted some of my favorite MatCap materials from ZBrush to Cinema 4D. You can download them right here: Cinema 4D MatCaps
I wouldn’t consider myself as an Avatar fan, but I like the characters. This is just for modeling training, some reference images used for the specific anatomy, face & expression free. Box modeling in Cinema 4D, work in progress.

Playing around with ZBrush, watching tutorials, trying to learn – gotta admit it looks easier than it is.

Here are some more recent (May 2012) work-in-progress screenshots of my Hulk model. At this stage it is modeled in Cinema 4d, after finishing up with the rough details I think I’ll take it to ZBrush or Sculptris for further refinement. I never really worked with both of them, so it would be a good exercise, same goes for the organic modeling in Cinema 4D, which I haven’t done for a long time either.
